STEPS ON APPLYING FOR SWAHILI HOUSE DEVELOPMENT<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Swahili-House Development Permit is a type of Construction Permit which is system-generated and is issued through the Mombasa e-DAMS platform. The Sw-House e-CP represents the approval of the Swahili-house development application submitted by registered architects and engineers. It entails development of simple semi-permanent buildings also considered as Traditional Houses<\/p>

The departments involved in the processing and approval include (i) Lands, Planning and Housing, (ii) Transport, Infrastructure & Public Works (iii) Environment, Waste Management & Energy (iv) Health, (v) Education, ICT & MV 2035 and (vi) Finance and Economic Planning. Mombasa County has also included key stakeholders in the development sector to participate in the assessment, e.g. Mombasa Old Town Conservation Office, National Environmental Management Authority, etc.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There are several payment options provided for the clients through an electronic payment platform (such as M-PESA, RTGS, Local Bank Transfer, Cash Deposits at KCB and others). The County Government of Mombasa receives the payment in real-time and a permit is generated immediately.<\/p>

Once approved, the electronic construction permit is generated and made accessible to the applicant for download and printing.
